The Greensboro Gargoyles.
I was brought on as a Graphic Design Intern for the inaugural season of the Greensboro Gargoyles. What began strictly as a graphic design role quickly expanded into video production, on-ice content capture, sound design, mixed-media creative, and in-arena entertainment assets.
My responsibilities now include:
Creating motion graphics and noise prompts for the jumbotron
Filming games, capturing b-roll, and editing highlight packages
Supporting commercial shoots with filming, audio, and editing
Producing mixed-media edits and stylized content for social media
Designing digital and print assets across the brand’s creative system
Color grading, sound design, and trend-responsive short-form content
The most rewarding part is seeing fans interact with the pieces I’ve created. My team trusts me with the brand’s voice and visuals, and this role has allowed me to push my creativity across multiple mediums, from mixed media and 3D to video editing and motion graphics.
After the success of my mixed-media noise prompt for Greensboro, I was asked to recreate the concept for Zawyers’ other markets like the ECHL’s Savannah Ghost Pirates, Tahoe Knight Monsters, Jacksonville Icemen and AHL’s Charlotte Checkers. This involved building a full mixed-media workflow; printing, cutting, wrinkling, scanning, compositing, and animating assets to create a gritty, handmade motion style.

I’ve also contributed work with asset preparation for the launch of Zawyer Sports & Entertainments brand new women’s basketball league, UpShot. Which is extremely exciting to be apart of.
