Project Overview:
In Plain Sight is a documentary about the Narragansett Smoke Shop Raid in Rhode Island, a story of jurisdiction, sovereignty, and state power. When the film was accepted into the Long Island Film Festival and the Monadnock International Film Festival, a new poster was needed. The original design used text over a still image; my version reinterprets the film visually using Swiss-style minimalism, and an architectural illustration of the smoke shop, with shapes drawn from RISP patrol lights.

DESIGN INTENT: (๑'ᵕ'๑)⸝*
– Replace a generic typographic poster with a concept-driven visual narrative
– Use Swiss-style minimalism, clean geometry, strong type, restrained color
– Illustrate from the documentary's actual subject: the Narragansett smoke shop
– Reference the Rhode Island State Police visually through geometric light bar shapes
